Objective

 

Responsible for the monitoring of a portfolio of clients who are required to submit periodic reporting concerning accounts receivable, inventory and lease receivables utilizing the loan system (Collateral Analysis).

 

Provides support in various areas to relationship management, including collateral tracking, legal documentation, and insurance monitoring involving interaction with 3rd parties and internal bank staff. This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing all incoming collateral reporting and loan documents consistent with loan approvals.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of Commercial Lending clients whose primary credit facilities are working capital revolving lines of credit and/or lease lines of credit and maintain communication between the clients, the Portfolio Managers/Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers ensuring that collateral risks are identified in order to avoid monetary losses to the Bank.
    • Review and subsequent dissemination of reports relating to collateral statistics to the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Management and Credit Risk.
    • Reviews and analyzes monthly collateral reporting provided by Commercial Lending clients including, but not limited to: Borrowing Base Certificates, Accounts Receivable and Payable Aging, and Inventory reports.
    • Make determination of eligibility of collateral and resulting availability and process advance requests under the clients’ Asset Based Line of Credit
    • Monitor receipt of Commercial Lending clients’ collateral reporting requirements, including the receipt of information in “b” above.
  • Review collateral of tax lien assets and redemptions. Process advance requests and paydowns.
  • Review collateral pledges including titles, UCC’s, insurance and amendments in order to process advances and collateral releases
  • Perform other task assignments including projects assigned by the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers or the Director/Team Leader of Commercial Lending.
  • Orders all necessary documents to complete processing, including; credit bureau reports, insurance binders and certificates, UCC, title and property searches, commercial and residential appraisals, payoff statements, business formation documents and other information needed, as directed by the proper approval authority personnel, to advance a new loan request or existing loan renew/review.
  • Properly document all approved loan requests and prepare advances.
  • Responsible for post-closing lien perfection including recording real property lien instruments, UCC-1 filings and/or UCC-3 filings, vehicle title encumbrances, and brokerage account control agreements.
  • Responsible for monitoring and updating the collateral recording information on the Miser collateral record.
  • Responsible for monitoring and updating the collateral value on negotiable collateral/brokerage accounts including checking covenant compliance and updating system.
  • Perform various departmental administrative tasks, such as filing and maintaining storage records.

 

Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to position self and move about to retrieve and place documents in narrow aisles of a file room.   The incumbent will be expected to stand for sustained periods while accomplishing tasks; there is occasional lifting of records up to 30 lbs.  Sedentary work involves operating a computer terminal with repetitive motion and exchanging information via phone. 

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience and knowledge of loan processing and documentation.
  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and nCino.
  • Develop excel formulas and models.
  • Proven ability to work in a high-pressure deadline environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven customer service and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork experience required.
