Objective

The Portfolio Manager IV is a recognized expert in exercising sound judgement in credit and risk administration with the ability to recommend unique solutions related to process, products and services. Independently solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business and identifies innovative solutions with the ability to communicate and apply complex concepts and anticipate potential customer and industry challenges throughout the life cycle of a customer. Possesses a burning drive to ensure all Service Level Agreements, regulatory compliance requirements, and Bank’s credit risk profiles and profitability are monitored and maintained.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements, regulatory compliance requirements, and Bank’s credit risk profiles and profitability are monitored and maintained.
  • Responsible to protect and preserve the integrity of the pooled or individual portfolio while sustaining profitability, accurately accessing/managing risk, and managing the annual review process.
  • Analyzes the most complex portfolio relationships with reasonable involvement from the Relationship Manager.
  • Prepares financial models, credit memorandums and has extensive knowledge of credit policies with the ability to apply them to a variety of situations.
  • Exhibits strong understanding of the most complex organizational structures, documentation, covenants and/or collateral structures.
  • Effectively tracks and monitors financial reporting requirements and reviews Borrowing Base certificates.
  • Provides loan recommendations based on a review of all underwriting criteria for final approval.
  • Exercises adherence to internal portfolio/underwriting processes including timely and accurate data entry to nCino and/or other centralized systems, as well as, maintaining high quality file documentation in a
    paperless environment.
  • Will assist others to solve problems, leads projects with notable risk andcomplexity and develops the strategy for project execution.

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • 10+ years banking experience  which may include business banking, middle market and/or specialty commercial banking, commercial banking administration, commercial client sales and service, commercial banking operations, commercial credit/risk oversight and commercial loan, documentation/funding/servicing.
  • 10+ years exhibiting superior level of knowledge of Business and Personal financials, loan structuring, commercial products, credit risk, and administration practices and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with credit policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach, lead, and motivate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good oral written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software/systems required to successfully perform job function.
  • Must be an nCino Subject Matter Expert.
  • Proven history of managing high volume workflows.
