  • Objective

    Mortgage Loan Processors assemble documents pertaining to a loan, process the paperwork associated with the loan, and ensure that all information is complete and verified within the current regulations. Mortgage loans are the primary type of loan handled by Mortgage Loan Processors, who also may have to order appraisals of the property, set up accounts, and secure any additional information required to transfer the property.  The specific duties of level of Loan Closers vary by experience. When necessary, they answer calls from customers with routine inquiries.

    • Facilitate loan through application to close within the Wholesale/Retail Division.
    • Expedite the status of a loan application from inception to funding.
    • Facilitate all levels of communication between Client, Broker, Account Executive, Loan Officer, Underwriters, and post closers, relative to the status of a loan through funding.
      Submit new loans by reviewing, organizing, and input borrower information, income, appraisal, debts.
    • Pull life of loan and flood certifications when needed.
    • Ensure compliance deadlines are met with regards to pre-disclosures, approval letters, denial notices, and counteroffers.
    • Review loan status with broker and Loan Officers.
    • Obtain necessary stipulations from Broker/borrower and submit PTD's to underwriter.
    • Provide Broker/Loan officer with approvals and other necessary information.
    • Upon approval from underwriting, ensure lock is completed.
    • Clear any stipulations prior to funding.
    • Order appraisal review with independent outside service when necessary.
    • Perform data input of credit inquiries in a timely fashion.
    • Set loan up for closing.
    • Order funds/prepare co-material.

    Essential Functions

    • Operates office equipment including but limited to computer, fax, copier and telephone.
    • Retrieves files.
    • This position involves sedentary work and repetitive motion a majority of the work day. 
    • Communicates information and identifies and resolves issues. 
    • Reviews and analyzes data. Inputs data into a computer terminal. 


    Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

    • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2 years of mortgage loan operations experience
    • Is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Perform routine clerical duties, when necessary.
    • Must be available to work overtime as volume dictates.
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
