    To provide primary support to the VP-Application Development in the areas of systems development and applications support.

    1. Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appro­priate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to open account.
    2. Actively sells and promotes corporate products to potential and existing customers.
    3. Possesses knowledge of corporate products and service-s, to suggest products.
    4. Participate in all phases of the applications development life cycle. Responsibilities include all analysis, design, coding, and testing processes.
    5. Maintain the quality of the system and documentation. Tasks may include implementing database changes, creating specifications, technical writing, and troubleshooting help desk tickets.
    6. Actively participate in departmental meetings. Initiate the continual improvement of development standards, code templates, checklists and other company methods, processes and documentation. Prepare and present new ideas regarding development standards and/or code.
    7. Develop skills and expertise in applications programming using various technologies. New technologies will be adopted on a regular basis, requiring constant skills development.
    8. Review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain company databases. Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions.
    9. Design, develop, and support Business Intelligence Solutions (ETL, reports, dashboards, etc).
    10. Perform other duties as directed by the VP – Application Development.

    Essential Functions

    While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate computer equipment, detect and observe system enhancements and determine standards. The incumbent will be expected to prepare reports, communicate information and identify and troubleshoot problem applications.  

    The employee works mostly without direct supervision, and as such, shares in making tactical decisions relating to the development process on a daily basis. 

    Accountable for the deliverables of each step of the design life cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, technical and user documentation, testing, output and functionality. Must adhere to company development standards.

    Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline

    Minimum of 3 years of application development experience

    Minimum of 2 years of SQL Server development experience, including data warehouse and datamart design

    Minimum of 3 years of report design using Reporting Services

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Minimum of 2 years’ experience SSIS

    IIS a plus

    Salesforce experience is preferred but not required
