Provide event marketing support in the execution of internal and external Firstrust events, sponsorships and philanthropic activity that includes: planning, project development, marketing communications, social/digital writing, budgeting, and logistics. Manage day-to-day relationships with key vendors.  Provide support for retail branch and local community marketing initiatives, in support of consumer and business banking priorities.

  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to the appropriate person to open account. Actively sells and promotes corporate products to potential and existing customers. Possesses knowledge of corporate products and services to suggest products.
  • Assist with and coordinate tactical logistics of two semi-annual Managers’ Meetings, holiday events, employee appreciation, and other significant events such as 76ers partnership customer events.
  • Lead event marketing, planning and execution for CEO Breakfasts, Caves Golf Outings, Variety’s Zoo Day and Annual Campaign, Food and Book Drive, the CcTC Toy Drive, and the Samuel A. Green Scholarship Award Program.      
  • Lead ongoing effort to make events more digital, mobile and social during all phases – from pre-event, event and post event marketing.
  • Bring efficiencies of event planning software and marketing automation to increase event efficiency and lead generation and loyalty productivity.
  • Assist and develop original content from events, sponsorships and community activations for use in social media, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc in partnership with the Digital Strategy & Design team.
  • Develop and foster relationships with external event vendors such as caterers, florists, gift suppliers, audio/staging/video, rental companies and other suppliers. Maximize external vendors while minimizing budget expenditures.
  • Provide support of marketing within retail branches, including all signage, digital boards, ATM and point of sale materials that is consistent with brand standards;
  • Budget tracking of department’s expenses, in addition to processing department invoices and properly assigning GLs.
  • Provide support in the preparation of and liaise with legal department to capture and track all CRA-approved sponsorships. Research selected CRA-qualified charitable organizations to document CRA-viability.
  • Draft FirstNews messages for internal communications.
  • Prepare and distribute a weekly Competitive Advertising summary.
  • Maintain the department’s Press Clippings binder.
  • Maintain Firstrust’s Archives Room organized and up-to-date with any new photos/materials.
  • Order office supplies, as well as ordering items and collateral through WorkFlow.


Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • BA/BS or equivalent degree, Writing, English skills
  • 2-5 years in coordinating marketing and customer events, B2B customer events
  • 1- 2 years using event planning and management software, such as Bizzabo, Eventmobi, etc.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Skilled at building strong interpersonal relationships within the Firstrust organization and with external vendors, charities, and customers, as required by project/event
  • Outgoing personality, and ability to be the face of the Firstrust Brand at events and company functions
  • Flexible work hours (evening and weekends, if required by project/event)
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, digital media, social media and design
  • developing marketing content, such as email, sales collateral, social posts
