Objective

Primarily responsible for the servicing of construction loans from initial set up to full repayment.   Review and monitor construction loans for completeness and accuracy of data entry.  Responsible for the processing of periodic disbursement requests and repayment receipts.  In addition, provide effective and timely servicing of consumer and commercial loans from settlement through post-closing follow-up including: loan boarding and payment processing. Handle other related department activities including monthly billings, modifications, extensions and secondary duties.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Prepare new loan set up data sheets and enter new construction loan input to the pipeline section of the TCL system.  Review data input for accuracy and assure new loan set up line item budgets are in accordance with approval. Understand and      implement required primary and subaccount data entry input.  Review all essential documentation prior to funding ensuring adherence to bank policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the REF Department to assure accurate set up and administration of all loans.
  • Approve all disbursement vouchers on the TCL system and wire or transfer funds.  Process all wire and check payments to the TCL system.
  • Review TCL monthly interest billing statements for accuracy. 
  • Implement system changes, maintenance of rate index and field changes, when required.
  • Daily and monthly settlement of TCL interest, principal, FASB 91 fees and      participations to the Miser general ledger system.
  • Book and maintain consumer and commercial loans, including the permanent financing of Construction loans. Assure the accuracy of the data input to Miser. Set-up ticklers or payment schedules for future actions if necessary. Set-up on-line collateral records as indicated in loan package.
  • Perform all servicing related functions in accordance with established loan requirements for the Miser and TCL systems including: loan fundings, processing change in terms, posting payments, preparing and processing all payoff requests and maintaining accurate records for participated loans.
  • Alert management to process and procedural changes concerning the daily, monthly and continuing responsibilities associated with managing and controlling loan      information.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.  Respond to general inquiries on loan status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to ascend/descend stairs and position self to lift and/or place files.  Sedentary work involves processing and inputting data and operating a computer terminal with repetitive motion.  Some amount of mobility in order to accomplish tasks is necessary.  The employee is expected to be able to converse with internal and external customers and exchange information. 

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • Three to five years comparable experience in construction loan servicing or a commercial banking position.
  • Knowledge of transaction data entry and understanding of debits/credits as well as proofing and balancing accounts.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger automated systems.
  • Intermediate computing skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality service
  • Strong work habits, attention to detail, and teamwork
