Generate new Small Business Administration (SBA) loans through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals. Make a substantial number of outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients, will require automobile travel. By year-end, achieve 100% of established annual production objective (APO) that will be determined at or near the beginning of every year. Develop and implement marketing activities within the budgetary constraints established by supervisor

Responsible for external self-sourcing SBA-government guaranteed loans within the Bank’s geographic territory. Identify and solicit new business relationships. Interview new and existing loan applicants to gather information relative to their business needs, abilities and earnings to determine whether loans may be an acceptable risk. Assemble loan packages and assist in the gathering and closing process. Cross-sell business products to existing customers and prospect business customers through an organized calling program. Generate qualified referrals to other bank departments. Actively participate in external community activities in order to promote Firstrust Bank and to develop a business referral network.
Requires a complete understanding of SBA- government type business loans. Required understanding of Firstrust Bank’s business products and services. Requires a basic understanding of Small Business Lending and familiarity with the interpretation of business financial statements. Strong sales, service and organizational skills. Ability to close sales. Ability to recognize customer needs and match them to bank perceived credit risk. Effective communication with all levels of management. Reports to the SBA -Government Lending Manager.
